Our philosophy at The Black Dog is to keep the food simple using seasonal ingredients cooked with passion and flair.
Our menu changes daily as our head chef Yoshi Yamakawa has a great rapport with his local suppliers tapping into what’s fresh and seasonal.
Most importantly, we recognize we’re a pub so we aspire to keep our menu at pub prices.
Breakfast starts at 8am with all the basics covered as well as healthy options like homemade granola or warming porridge. Lunch is a more formal affair with full waitered service and an “a la carte” menu.
The evening menu is available early at 4.30pm to cater for the after work crowd. You’ll find plenty of bar snacks to cover those in larger groups.

After the summer success of Hogstar -Hogs Back Brewery's refined lager, we're now moving on to a beautifully crafted lager from The Whitstable Brewery, the multiple award winning brewers in Maidstone. Their Kentish Ale (4.1%) is a clean, crisp clean tasting session lager using Czech Hop Saaz perfect for a session in the depths of Winter!
